Conquering My Fear Of Public Showers and Becoming Nude in Front Of Strangers

My Fear Of Public Showers
Back in the day, boys would generally shower after gym class. I an unsure if this is still the norm these days but I spent four years of high school without ever once setting foot in the lads public showers Even on hot muggy days after grueling fitness center sessions, the temptation of a refreshing shower never crossed my head. The largest reason why I refused to use the high-school facilities was the bad experiences I saw other students had.
There were instances where the teenage boys would "snitch" clothes or ridicule other lads. The poor pupils who suffered this intimidation didn't seem pleased to be on the receiving end of someone else's prank.
As I grew older, my anxiety of using the public shower never went away. I determined to join a health club since I was gaining an excessive amount of weight and this time I knew there was no avoiding the shower room.
The gym rules stated you had to shower before entering the pool place. Therefore Part 2 of My Naturist Site Chain: Boobs, Boobs Everywhere made a conscious choices to face my fear.
Using the public showers was one of my biggest fears
My first time getting naked and using the shower was extremely weird for me. I felt so uneasy taking my clothes off in front of a group of strange guys. The only reason I was able to muster up the guts was seeing how the other guys looked so comfortable being nude. I really watched two naked men talking about their plans for the weekend and the fact that they were both nude did not seem to faze them.
But I am happy to say no one stole my garments nor was I subjected to any bullying. Actually, nothing out of the ordinary actually happened in the shower room. It became something of a routine. I might take off my clothes, shower, get redressed and go on about my business like normal.
I learned a valuable lesson from this encounter. I learned that I should never prevent something only because I felt uncomfortable with it. Sometimes Oregon Young Naturists Weekend at The Willamettans Nudist Club have to go with the flow and more often than not nothing bad will happen.
Who knows, maybe one day I could wrap my head around the naked liberty that many nudists experience every single day! But for now, naturism appears to be a bit of jump. That said one never knows!
